Scott D. Goodwin—CEO, LMI Tech Systems, LLC
Scott Goodwin, RCDD, CTS, oversees all aspects of the Technology Services division of LMI. A multi-talented professional who can take a project from sales, engineering and design through to management of the final installation, Scott is an apt candidate to lead the technology team.
Scott’s direct involvement includes customer relations, project proposals, sales team direction and low-voltage system oversight. Scott also takes a hand in low-voltage system design for special projects.
Scott, who began his career at LMI in 1988 as a part-time field installation technician, has worked for LMI full time since January 1993. He has held an Unrestricted Low-Voltage license (GA) since 1994. In 1997, he became one of the youngest professionals to earn the RCDD (Registered Communications Distribution Designer) designation, a certification he has maintained through continuing education ever since.
In 2010, Scott became a CTS (Certified Technology Specialist) for the Audio Visual industry. Scott is a Cedia Certified Professional, and is certified with Polycom, Crestron, Control4, Extron, Blonder Tongue, Valcom, Panduit, Mohawk, Hubbell, Belden, Fluke and Leviton.
Scott, and his two sons stay active playing sports. He plays on three soccer teams and coaches and trains his son’s soccer and football teams. (Scott carries a national soccer trainer’s license.) He also enjoys golf, water sports and off-road activities. He occasionally finds time to compete in Grand National Cross Country races.
Thomas Edmondson—Vice President Operations, LMI Tech Systems, LLC
Thomas Edmondson is the Vice President of Operations, Professional Services Group (PSG) and is responsible for managing the day-to-day operations for PSG including the financials as well as the internal resources necessary to provide LMI customers top quality service on installations. He has been with LMI since 2006 starting as a project manager in the field and now manages a large team of project managers and project support personnel.
Thomas has over 23 years of experience in the low voltage industry specializing in infrastructure cabling. Prior to LMI, Thomas worked for both T1 and Horizon Technology Group as a lead technician and project manager.
When not working, Thomas enjoys bass fishing with his two sons and keeping up with his daughter on her world travels. He relaxes by playing golf, swimming (or anything water related), and traveling.
Michael Chambers—Vice President Engineering, LMI Tech Systems, LLC
Michael Chambers, BICSI member and RCDD certified, brings more than 25 years of project management and engineering experience to the LMI team as Vice President of Tech Group National (TGN). Expanding the TGN installation partner database and eliminating the client headache of multiple technology vendors are just a few daily operations he overseas.
Prior to joining LMI, Michael worked as a Systems Engineer for Anixter, which is now an LMI Systems partner. Joining the LMI team in 2013 as a Senior Project Manager, he quickly moved to Director of RF Deployments—where he not only met the client’s detailed needs but also ensured projects were on time and under budget.
When he isn’t working, Michael enjoys spending his free time outdoors golfing, camping, fly fishing and traveling. He currently resides in Ellijay, GA with his wife and two daughters.
TJ Blackmon—CIO/Vice President Managed Services, LMI Tech Systems, LLC
Bringing more than 16 years of experience in the technology information space, TJ Blackmon joins LMI as CIO. In this position, he will oversee the server use, systems and daily operations of LMI to assist in improving efficiency and profitability.
TJ began his career in the tech industry right out of high school, working for a technology store at age 19. Prior to joining LMI Systems, he worked for Decision Digital managing more than 1000 servers and overseeing the daily operations of 10 engineers.
He currently resides in Lawrenceville with his wife and 19-month-old daughter. When TJ’s not working, he spends time fishing and soaking up the outdoors.

Bobby R. Thompson—CEO, LMI Systems, LLC
Bobby Thompson oversees all aspects of the Electrical division of LMI. In this position, he is responsible for managing the electrical construction and service teams. He also manages the financial and business affairs for LMI’s entire operation.
Bobby, who is a licensed Master Electrician (GA) and non-restricted Electrical Contractor (GA), has 22 years of experience in the electrical industry. He started his career with LMI as an estimator in 1989. That year, Bobby also graduated from Georgia Southern University with a Bachelor of Science in Technology.
When he is not busy running the corporate end of LMI, Bobby spends time with his wife and three children. For relaxation, Bobby plays golf and goes fishing. However, he especially enjoys working with his children to help them develop their abilities in recreational league sports.
Joe Sullivan—Vice President of Operations and Construction, LMI Systems, LLC
With 35 years of experience in the electrical industry, Joe Sullivan oversees both the daily operations and the construction aspects of LMI’s business, keeping the company moving forward at a steady pace. In that capacity, he acts as the connector between the business development and business performance sides of the company.
He ensures daily operations and ongoing projects not only run smoothly, but also that work is handled professionally, responsibly and in compliance with both customer needs and government regulations.
Prior to joining LMI, Joe worked for Lade Electric Supply in the Warehouse-Delivery department. He joined LMI in 1979 and has spent the majority of his career at the company, honing the practical organizational skills that serve him well today.
In his private life, Joe says his three children are his hobbies and special interests. He and his children enjoy the neighborhood, local parks and church together, time he uses to stay connected with his kids and help them grow into productive adults.
Mike Gentile—Vice President of Service, LMI Systems, LLC
Mike Gentile brings over 30 years in the electrical industry and an expertise in electrical, voice/data, CCTV, A/V and access control systems to the LMI team as Vice President of Service. His responsibilities include managing daily operations in the Service Department, producing accurate and competitive quotes and ensuring superior customer service and relations.
Prior to joining LMI, Mike worked as Field and Service Manager for Atlanta Electric Inc. He has completed the Independent Electrical Contractors (IEC) 4-year training program and continues to pursue electrical and leadership educational opportunities.
When he isn’t working, Mike enjoys traveling throughout the tropics and Las Vegas and trying new restaurants and activities.

Robert D. Goodwin—Chairman/CEO
Robert “Bobby” Goodwin is Chairman and CEO of LMI, holding executive responsibility for the company’s consulting efforts. Since 1970, Goodwin has worked not only to build the reputation and client roster for his company, but also to empower other employees to be part of the solution and success of LMI. “I try to be a good listener,” Bobby says.
Bobby has 41 years of experience in the electrical industry and holds a Master Electrical License (GA). Prior to acquiring LMI, Bobby served as a US Air Force Aircraft Instrument Repair Specialist (1966-1970).
In his spare time, Bobby enjoys working at his church, playing golf and spending time with his wife, four children and seven grandchildren. He says one of his greatest joys is watching his grandchildren grow and become who they are.
